Pantreo LLC ("Pantreo," "we," "us") operates the Pantreo meal planning and nutrition tracking service at pantreo.kitchen and in our mobile apps (together, the "Service"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Pantreo you agree to this policy.
We use your information to operate and personalize the Service (generating plans, tracking macros, syncing your data across devices), process payments, provide support, secure the Service, comply with law, and improve Pantreo. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Photos you take or upload are stored securely with our database provider (Supabase) and are private to your account by default. When you use AI photo scanning, your photo is transmitted to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to identify the food and estimate its nutritional content.
When uploading a photo you may optionally check "Let Pantreo feature this photo in the app." If you check this box, you grant Pantreo a non-exclusive license to display that photo within the Pantreo product (for example, as imagery for the matching recipe). Photos you do not opt in to featuring are never shown to other users. You can delete any photo at any time from your tracker, which removes it from storage and revokes the license.
Pantreo's meal plans, recipes, nutritional estimates, and photo analysis are generated using AI models provided by Anthropic. The content needed to fulfill your request (such as your preferences, pantry list, food descriptions, or meal photos) is transmitted to Anthropic for processing. Under our API agreement, Anthropic does not use Pantreo customer content to train its models.
We collect data about how Pantreo's generation features are used — such as plan parameters, the names of generated meals, pantry-meal requests, and scan results. We use this data to improve generation quality and to develop and improve our services, which may include training or evaluating our own meal-recommendation systems. This data is linked to your account ID and is deleted if you delete your account.
Pantreo relies on the following processors, each receiving only the data necessary to perform its function:
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual photos, recipes, pantry items, and logs in the app at any time. To delete your entire account and associated data, email us at the address below and we will complete the deletion within 30 days, except where limited records must be retained for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your data is protected with industry-standard measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS), row-level security on our database (your records are only readable by your authenticated account), and secure credential storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we design conservatively.
Pantreo is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly in the app; for anything else, email us and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes we will update the effective date and provide notice in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
